' LOST IN STEREO !! Pass Me another bottle honey the jager's so sweet
The original plan Braydin had in mind was to wake up early, shower, get dressed and used the rest of the day wisely. work on his car, clean the house a bit and maybe go hang out with some friends, but those plans had been pushed back a bit. Ok, well a lot. He had gone to bed at five in the morning after a party, almost too wild for him to handle. He had passed out in his friends living room half off the old sofa. By the time he was fully awake and functional it was past three in the after noon. Braydin waved his hung over friends good by and made his way back home to shower and clean up for well... the rest of the night ahead. When he was cleaned and ready to go again. He took hold of his keys and made his way toward the door. His plan now was to go to the store, pick up some food and call some friends to come have a few drinks for the night. Not that he was sure his stomach could handle that. Braydin made his way down to the local grocery store, taking the first parking spot he could find.
The grocery store was a place Braydin hardly ever was seen at. He was a take out food kind of guy. Or he just ordered a pizza. But when time time came for some chips, salsa, and soda. He had no choice then to get off his ass and get it himself. Walking in the automatic opening doors Braydin took a quick look around the place. It was busy. Older people walking with their carts ahead of them, filled to the top with different fruits and frozen dinners. Sighing quietly to himself Braydin continued on his way. He never felt like he fit in when he went to the grocery store. Braydin was tall, thin, with messy hair, and tight fit clothes. The store had older men and their wives, dressed in sweats and old jeans. Braydin walked silently through the aisles minding his own business. obviously lost. It took a while but after a while he had gathered, soda, fruit snacks, chips, salsa, and frozen pizza. It was a wonder how he kept so thin.
Finally at the check out Braydin waited patiently as the old heavy set women in front of him complained about paper bags, and something about her eggs. He bounded his his spot for a minute before the lady finally paid up and moved out of his way. Braydin placed down his stuff on the counter for the check out person to scan everything. Looking up he saw a girl, about his age behind the scanner. She was obviously beautiful, and now Braydin was interested. Flashing his all too infamous smirk Braydin leaned forward a bit. "Hey i don't think i have ever seen you around here before. Are you new?" he asked. Sure he was a player, but when he had met some one new, the friendly thing wasn't an act. Who knew, this girl could be a potential friend, maybe not but even so, Braydin wanted to get to know her. --------------- words|| 533 clothes|| no sun glasses notes|| n/a

If she hadn’t promised her mom she’d get a job she so wouldn’t be there. But like the good little girl she was, she got a job at the menial grocery store. For a week it’d been nothing but training and scolding from her trainer. Yumi got the system the first day, but company policy required five under supervision. She so wanted to go back to Darien’s apartment and crash on the couch he wouldn’t let her sleep on. Oh well, she’d met a couple interesting people so far, including several offers to be ‘shown around town’. She totally would of accepted if it weren’t for the fact that they were all creepy old guys with mullets and beer bellies. So not her thing. Nope, no way in hell. So, she’d politely refused and finished checking them out. She wasn’t sure how many times she’d checked her watch since she first started working there.
When it was finally her day by herself, she couldn’t have been happier. Seriously, she was actually smiling at people, including the creepy old guy that kept coming in to buy a pack of batteries and searched out her lane every day since she started. Didn’t he have enough batteries? Probably, but yet there he was again, buying batteries and trying to drag her into a conversation she didn’t really want to be in. She just smiled politely and told him people were in line. Unfortunately the next person was a grouchy woman complaining about every little thing that she had no control over. That’s where the experienced bag boy came in to answer the woman’s questions. What was his name? Troy? Tristan? Oh well she’d glance at his name tag later. Just as she started to space out, her attention was grabbed by the male who entered the line behind her.
Cute, young, and obviously a junk food eater. Yumi was intrigued. And yes, she took a peek at his ass that brief moment he turned around. She gave the woman her total price, still not really paying any attention to her at all, and then absently handed her the receipt barely hearing the womans mutterings as she left. Trying not to make it obvious that she was checking out the guys ass, Yumi started punching in buttons and scanning his items, sliding them down to Trevor (was that his name?). Yumi looked back up just in time to realize he was smiling at her and leaning forward. Nice smile, but it was the lips that made it so. It took a moment to focus in on his words. She smiled back, one of her slightly more flirty smiled she hadn’t given yet that day. ”Yeah, I just moved here about a week ago,” she informed him, only momentarily glancing away to scan his next item and checking to see if anyone had gotten in line behind him. Thank god no one had.

' LOST IN STEREO !! Pass Me another bottle honey the jager's so sweet
Braydin was now beginning to like the grocery store, had he known he'd run into a hot girl like her he would have been down there a while ago. He never though about girls like her working at a grocery store. Then again braydin though most girl would rather work as a clothing store or something. Not that the grocery store was a bad thing. You didn't work on commission and well, the job was cake. He would know. He had worked at a grocery store back in Canada for a while, and had the time he had thought it was a crappy job but when he though back on it all he had to do was pretend to be nice and stand there scanning food. Then their was the occasional cart run. That got him away from annoyed angry customers for a while. He would listen to music and push the carts back in. cake job. Now he was stuck at his friends dads car garage fixing up the town peoples cars. It wasn't the dream job but it more than payed the bills. That's all he needed, and he was good at it.
To be quite honest coming up to the counter Braydin had no idea the beautiful girl scanning the his junk food had been checking him out since he had gotten in line. Had he known, he would have been a little more forward then he had been with his 'hey i don't think i have seen you around before'. A 'hey beautiful, can i get your number' would have been more appropriate, but just his luck he was looking down at the time. Braydin had on accident blown off the bag boy when he asked if he wanted paper or plastic. To the boy, it would have looked like Braydin was simply being an ass, but really he had just not heard him. He was far too interested in what was in front of him. When the girl flashed a flirty smile back at him braydin bit his lip for a moment. "Ah well welcome to Elizabeth's Hallow. I'm Braydin" he said placing his hand out over the credit card scanner to welcome her with a hand shake. That's what people did after all when they introduced themselves. Braydin wasn't about to talk up the town. It was just like most towns. Maybe a few more events and such. Then again he was possibly just being a bit bitter about it. He had lived there a while now, nothing about Elizabeth's Hallow was fun or exciting anymore. It was just home.
"How are you liking it out here so far?" he asked her curiously pulling his hand back. He took a quick second to look over to the side. He was alone in line. Good, he could get in some conversation time. Unless bag boy decided to cut in and kill it for both of them. What did Braydin this about the girl in front of him. Well she was defiantly his type. petite, great smile, good energy. They had just met but right away he could tell she seemed like a fun person. Some one he could hang out with. Possibly get a bit close with. Who knows. He was hoping he was get enough time to get there with her. Braydin pulled out his wallet out of his back pocket as almost all his food was past him and in bags. "Don't mean to sound too forward but uh." he started, shaking a bit of his hair from his eyes a bit. "When do you get off? Or do you have a break coming up any time soon. Cause i got some time to kill if you want to hang out and talk a bit more." he said. Ok yeah it was a bit soon to pull the hang out and chat card but Braydin was on crunch time and sure the odds were against him. He could only hope for the best. He heard the bag boy give an irritated sigh, but Braydin blew it off and now, purposely ignored him. --------------- words|| 681 clothes|| no sun glasses notes|| n/a

Yeah, so Yumi was completely glad she had taken the job at the grocery store and suffered them five days of hell. How else would she of met the completely cute guy in front of her? Out of everyone she’d met in Elizabeth’s Hallow since moving there, besides Darien of course, this guy had to of been the cutest with the sexiest smile... and eyes... and she was day dreaming again and barely focusing on his words. Well, she sort of was, if watching his lips counted. She actually caught his name though. Braydin. Not bad, and it fit him. ”Yumi,” she said taking his hand into her own, it was after all the polite thing to do, shake an offered hand. Besides it was warm, and her fingers probably felt like ice to him. Her fingers were always cold anyway.
Ayumi shrugged at his question. ”It’s ok. Definitely not a military base like where I’m originally from.” Okay, so New Port News wasn’t completely a military base, but there was definitely way too many military personal running around the city. She had gotten used to that over the years, and had missed it for the first few days her in Elizibeth’s Hallow, but had quickly gotten over the fact that another navy man wasn’t proposing to her on a daily basis. Navel personal didn’t get dating apparently. Nope, Elizabeth’s Hallow was actually kind of nice and growing on her, even if the night life was a little dull. Then again, she’d barely left the apartment, besides work, so she hadn’t really met anyone yet, and Darien was so not a party person. Maybe Braydin could remedy that for her? That was if her was interested at all...
Bingo. There it was, the not quite asking someone out. Trying to seem aloof even though clearly interested. Yumi was really starting to like him now. She couldn’t help herself, she smiled and leaned a little closer to him. ”Are you hitting on me?” she asked quietly before laughing a little. It wasn’t a mean laugh, not in the least, it was a ‘I can’t believe the first cute guy I’ve come across is hitting on me’ sort of laugh. She bit her lower lip and checked her watch, before seeing the bag boy send both her and Braydin a glare and would off to help at the next register. ”Too bad you missed my lunch hour, and I don’t get off for another three,” she told him followed by the total amount of his snack foods. Tilting her head to the side slightly she gave him a quick once over while taking the offered money. Oh what the hell. She put the money in the resister and made his change before grabbing the pen too. ”Let me see your hand.” When she got his hand she wrote her number on his palm and then placed his change over the number, giving him a smile in the process.
OoC: sorry if I Powerplayed at all. Hopefully not too bad if I did. And sorry if it’s a little short, trying not to fall asleep >.<

' LOST IN STEREO !! Pass Me another bottle honey the jager's so sweet
Braydin lightly shook the girls had as she spoke. Yumi was her name. He liked it. It was not the typical Brittany, or Ashley that you heard everywhere. Braydin liked unique. "Nice to meet you" he replied. As she got into talking about the town, answering his question Braydin nodded a bit. Ok so she was a military girl as well. So she had seen the world. Lucky her. Braydin hadn't been so lucky. Elizabeth's Hallow and that was about it aside from his home back in Canada. That was something he had always wanted to do. Have it be, backpacking across Europe, or just jumping in a car with some friends and visiting another state just hours from Elizabeth's hallow. "Military" he repeated before flashing her another smile. "I'm sure you get to travel all around the world, and now you're stuck here." Braydin shook his head in a 'i feel sorry for you' sort of way. "That can't be too much fun." he added before shifting his wight a bit onto his right leg.
Seeing the beautiful girl lean closer to him Braydin smirked a bit. "Yes i am" he said, yeah very sure of himself. That was Braydin for you. He wasn't cocky, nor was he conceded. He was just as said before. Very sure of himself. If he liked something he went for it. Something that had gotten him into a bit of trouble in his past. Relationships were never his strong point. When it came to girls, most of the time it was something in the best interest of him, and not the girl, and he would leave them hanging after he got what he wanted. But he also liked girl he could be close friends with, hang out and play video games with one minute, and make out with the next. He couldn't do commitment. That just wasn't the kind of person he was. Maybe some do he would settle down and get into a serious relationship but he was still young, he had to live life to the fullest while he still could. "Why? It that a bad thing?" Braydin grinned slightly, though a smile was breaking through. He was just being funny now.
He would be lying if he said he wasn't bummed about missing her lunch. That would have been plenty of time for them to get to know each other better, make plans to hang out and all that."Yeah can't say I'm not bummed out" he admitted. Braydin opened his wallet when she said the total and pulled out some money handing it over to her. He had honestly thought he had lost her after that point. He let her count out the change and placed his hand back out to take it back when she grabbed his hand and a pen. Win! So he had gotten her number after all. He took back the change and put it in his wallet and looked back at her. "So do you think if i give you a call later when you are off that you will want to go out and get something to eat?" he asked sliding over a bit where his bags were sitting on the counter in front of the bag boy.
