Rory loved the weekends. She had no classes, Hayden had no classes, and Luke could leave the shop early with everyone else. Rory got to spend time with her family and she loved nothing more. Rory had never thought that her life was going to turn out this way, but she couldn't imagine it any other way now. Rory couldn't be more thankful or grateful for Luke and all that he had done for her. She had been exceptionally scared. What was she supposed to do when she was seventeen and pregnant? Luke hadn't even told her 'I told you so.' when he found out the whole situation and who was involved. He came with her to every doctors visit, to Lamaze classes, to everything. Luke had become so involved that people were starting to ask him if he was excited for the baby or if he was nervous. It was like Sawyer had never even existed in the whole thing. Luke had really helped her more then she had ever thought he would. He was amazing simply put.
This was as stark contrast compared to Hayden's actual father who had done nothing but fulfilled the biological needs of a father before ditching. Rory was kind of happy about that. Sawyer she had found was a real ass and she felt like such an idiot for ever believing a single word that had come out of his mouth. She chalked it up to being young and stupid. She had definitely learned her lesson though and she was never going to have to worry about that bastard again. There was no way that he was ever going to be in Hayden's life, especially not as her father. Luke was Hayden's father no matter what anyone thought or said. People could call her a heartless bitch for keeping Hayden way from her 'real' father but as far as Rory was concerned, blood only counted for so much. She didn't hear Sawyer trying to convince her father to lay off her getting an abortion. That was in the past now as she realized where she was at the moment. Sitting on the couch next to while Hayden slept her head on a pillow in Luke's lap. They had been watching some Disney movie with her and they didn't see the point of turning it off after she had fallen asleep. There was an understood silence between the two of them. They didn't need to talk about everything and she was content just to sit next to him and trace the tattoos on her arms as she was right now.
The little scene that Rory was content to stay in was momentarily broken as she heard the doorbell ring. Hayden stayed sleeping so Rory got up to answer the door. It was probably just some boy scout selling popcorn or something. Opening the door she found someone who obviously wasn't a boyscout. "You better have a damn good excuse for showing your sorry ass here."

There were some things in life that Sawyer could really do without and doing his father's dirty work for the sake of some political bag of bones was something he could not stand. This particular errand he was being sent on was something he knew he'd have to do on his own eventually anyhow, but having the added baggage of being his father's messenger was making it all that more difficult of a task. "Pa, you know I wouldn't be caught dead on that woman's doorstep if I had a choice, right?" he asked casually, sitting in the arm chair in front of his father's oak desk located in the study. His father knew of his son's past with the Jacobs middle child, and yet he was still the prime candidate for the job. "I mean, hell. Haven't I graced myself with her presence enough to last me a life time?" He placed his face in his hands, closing his eyes in attempt to relieve his headache. This man's father simply smiled and waved him on his way. Sawyer know of the task he was to follow through on, but he wasn't going to enjoy it.
After finding out where she lived, he took to the road and realized she lived as far away as she could without having to leave the city. A smile spread over his face. Obviously, there was a reason for that and he was sent to try and rectify the problem. Sawyer was the very last person that could change Rory's mind, but here he was on his way to her house. The irony of this whole thing was strange to him. Sawyer couldn't figure out why his father had chosen him -- of all people -- to try and talk this woman into coming back and joining the rest of her god forsaken family. Before meeting the Jacobs he thought his family was dysfunctional. Then again, Sawyer was part of the reason Rory didn't see eye to eye with everyone else, but instead of feeling guilty he was numb to the situation. Everything involving Glorianna Jacobs was completely turned off emotionally. However, it wasn't exactly different from any other circumstance in his life.
Her house came into view as he pulled around the corner and again his coy smile found itself present on his face. Shaking his head, he pulled his car right next beside the curb in front of her house. He was clearly visible from the front few windows of the house. Even Sawyer could act neighborly. The woman across the street was out watering her flowers and he gave her a wide smile and waved a hello to her before heading up the front steps. Rory's own front lawn was well groomed and had various plants and landscape spread out neatly all along the lot. Just the sight of domestication made his stomach turn, and as he knocked he vowed to never have a house that looked like this.
Just the person he had come here to see was standing before him. Her words were hardly a greeting and they dripped with venom. Even so, he gave her his signature smile and pulled his hair out of his face only to have it fall back into place. "Now, is that any way to speak to an old friend, princess?" he asked coolly, knowing full well that he was already standing on thin ice with her. Pushing her buttons was really what made this trip worth while. After all, it was his specialty. Rory made it so easy and the fact that Sawyer knew her almost as well as she knew herself was something he used against her since the moment they'd met. Well, after everything was said and done anyway. "Now, are you going to invite me in or are you a little rusty on hospitality?" His long frame leaned against the door jam; sunglasses hiding his eyes expression. The glasses didn't hide much, though. The grin on his face was like he had just won the lottery. Being a thorn in Rory's side was almost with being his father's errand boy.

The smug expression on Sawyers face was one of the reasons that she wanted to just slam the door shut again. However that was going to be a bad descion. The slamming door would probably wake up Hayden and she wasn't going to have Sawyer putting any of his stupid little lies into Hayden's mind. Rory could be a rutheless woman when it came to things like protecting her daughter and her family . . . well the family that she actually liked anyway. So when Hayden was involved, it was needless to say that she was not going to let this assinine fool anywhere near her daughter. He had given up all claims to her so there was no reason for him to be here. If he wanted to get back into contact with her for whatever stupid reason, he would have called her. No she would have hung up. He should have called his mother and then maybe if he could have softened her up, he could have gotten some sort of message through to her. Rory was hoping that this wasn't going to last long.
"Friends? You have some sort of sick definition of the word friends," Rory said to him. This was just getting to be ridiculous and he had only said one senetence. She could only imagine the sort of fantasty story that he could come up with if he was given enough time. "Last I checked, friends didn't ditch friends nor do they use them and then forget about them." Rory said to him looking at him with a set stare that said that he was not allowed to mess with her. clearly Sawyer was out of his right mind when he asked if he could some in. She grabbed her coat off of the rack and slipped it on quickly before she pushed passed him and closed the door. There was no way in hell that he was coming inside her house. Inside her house was her whole world and she was not going to let Sawyer back into her world. The only reason that door was going to open again was going to be if he was leaving and she was going back in or if she was going to call for Luke to take care of Sawyer because he was incapable of taking a hint.
"Does that answer your questions?" She asked him crossing her arms. She had no clue where this was going or what she was supposed to say in this situation. What were you supposed to say to the person who had seduced you out of your virginity, gotten you pregnant, and then abandoned you because it was just easier to listen to your father even though you're a full grown man. But no Sawyer was a two bit loser who couldn't even support himself without the help of his father so he had tried to convince Rory to listen to her father and abort the pregnancy. That was probably why she hated him the most. "You have about three point four seconds to tell me what the hell you're doing here before I kick your sorry ass to the curb." She was not going to deal with this today. This was her Saturday, her favorite day of the week. She did not want to waste anymore of it especially on the likes of him. She was not above sending the dog out after Sawyer either and Rufus was an excellent judge in character.
