i gotta make a home out of somewhere....and you're all over this city
Today was finally warm enough for Jude to wear shorts, and let me tell you, she's been waiting for this for a while. She be-bopped around her apartment getting ready, listening to some upbeat tunes and putting on some casual clothes to greet the sun-shiney day. Khaki shorts and a size-too-big button up shirt got tugged on and tucked in, wrinkles got smoothed out, and a loose ponytail was up and she was out the door. She had reason to be in a good mood, aside from it being a pretty day, and the fact that she was going to one of her favorite places to rent a favorite book. The university had finally returned her call and she was going to go in for an interview on Monday for a teaching assistant. It was only the job she'd been trying to nail for months. Her head was swimming with interview questions, what to wear, and just how early to be there. She was completely oblivious to the world.
Jude's not entirely a dreamer. She has her feet firmly on the ground, but that doesn't stop her from seeing the beauty in everything, and stopping to stare just 'cause the sunset is pretty every once in a while. Granted, she's always wanted to be a little thicker-skinned, but seeing shades of grey and another side to things doesn't make you any less of a realist, now does it? "I don't think so..." Pink lips muttered outloud to herself, lost in thought again. Jude often questioned whether or not she was tough enough for the world. Her parents were constantly worried about whether or not she'd get walked all over until she finally sat down on her twenty second birthday and told them that she was a big girl now.
And this big girl was almost halfway in the library before she realized that she had left her library card at home. "Fuck..me." She sighed, attempting not to raise her voice too much, seeing as how she was in a library. Jude doesn't really get upset, so when she does get bothered by something, it's the most trivial and well..useless things to get upset about. Hey, all that energy has to go somewhere, right? So instead of walking back home, she decided to sit down and pout, soft lips downturned in a less-than-gorgeous expression, brow furrowed. And when we pout, we get upset, and when we get upset, we get...angry! The delicate girl huffed and stood up, long legs carrying her quickly back out of the quiet building and into the sunshine and there she walks, pouting down the sidewalk back towards the apartments.
